Each October, one of Atlanta Prep’s joyful traditions comes to life thanks to the incredible attorneys and staff at Vernis & Bowling. The annual Trick-or-Treat event they host gives our students the opportunity to enjoy the fun of Halloween in a way that’s comfortable, inclusive, and full of joy.
For many of our students, traditional trick-or-treating—visiting unfamiliar homes, seeing masked faces, and facing sensory overload—can be overwhelming. That’s what makes the annual Vernis & Bowling Trick-or-Treating event so special. Vernis & Bowling offers a well lit familiar, safe, welcoming space for our students to trick-or-treat from office to office, greeted by smiling faces, many dressed in unmasked costumes like firefighters and Woody from Toy Story.
Our students are treated to sensory-friendly surprises—fidgets, putty, puzzles, stuffed animals, stickers, and of course sweet treats—that make each stop fun.The excitement that fills the building each year is priceless.
We are deeply grateful to the entire Vernis & Bowling team for opening their doors and hearts to our students. Their kindness, patience, and creativity remind us that community partnerships can make a difference. By taking time away from their busy schedules to ensure every child feels seen, safe, and celebrated, the Vernis & Bowling team continues to make a lasting impact on the Atlanta Prep community.
