Atlanta Prep Summer Camp Hits a Home Run at Truist Park!

The Atlanta Prep Summer Camp had a day to remember on June 26, 2024, with an unforgettable visit to Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The campers embarked on an exciting journey through the iconic stadium, exploring many of its most popular attractions.

The adventure offers a behind-the-scenes look at the ballpark’s most interesting areas. The campers learned about the rich history of the Braves and visited exclusive spots that few fans get to see.

One of the stops of the tour was a visit to The Rooftop, located in right field. This unique space offers stunning views of the ballpark and is a fun setting for groups to socialize. The Rooftop is equipped with ping pong tables and foosball for added entertainment.

The campers also experienced the luxury of the Xfinity Club, one of Truist Park’s premier suite locations. The Xfinity Club offers comfortable indoor seating and historic Braves memorabilia throughout.

A visit to Chipper’s Corner was another exciting stop on the tour. This climate-controlled space is dedicated to the legendary Braves third baseman Chipper Jones and features curated memorabilia from his illustrious career.

The campers got a glimpse into the lives of the players with a tour of the Atlanta Braves Dugout. This gave them a unique perspective on the game and a chance to walk in the footsteps of their baseball heroes. We were happy to learn they have air conditioning in the dugout. This is one of the most exclusive areas of the ballpark that few fans get to experience.

The Hank Aaron Terrace was another special stop on the tour. Located on the Lexus Level in left field, this indoor climate-controlled space offers sweeping views of the ballpark and field. The temperatures were in the upper 90s, so we were thankful to enter the climate-controlled areas!

A visit to the Truist Park Press Box was another exciting part of the tour. The press box is a working area for media and broadcasters, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at how the game is covered.

The day was made even more special with a photo opportunity with Michael Harris, the Braves’ talented young center fielder. Harris was a third-round selection of the Braves in the 2019 draft and has quickly become a fan favorite with his impressive play on the field. Harris won the National League Rookie of the Year Award “Rookie” was a new vocabulary word for a few of our campers.

The campers enjoyed lunch by the Battery Water Fountain/Splash Pad where we were very thankful for the shady seating.

The Atlanta Prep Summer Camp’s visit to Truist Park was a definite success, with the campers getting a unique behind-the-scenes look at one of baseball’s most iconic ballparks. From the rooftop to the dugout, the campers experienced all that Truist Park has to offer and made memories that will last a lifetime. The day was the perfect combination of baseball history, exclusive access, and fun in the sun. The campers left with big smiles on their faces.
